![]() Rules & Regulations As being a fundamental obligation according to the article 51A, section (a) one has to respect the National anthem and song. Later the national anthem was translated into all the 22 national languages and many regional languages. Later Margaret, the great Irish poet James Cousin's wife and the dean of Besant Theosophical College translated it into English. Captain Abid Ali provided the Hindi translation, and Captain Ram Singh provided the music. Major Translations First Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose translated the national anthem from Bengali which had been Sanskritised to Hindi. Tagore wrote the first anthem in Bengali ‘Bharoto Bhagyo Bidhata’ which later was edited and translated as ‘Jana Gana Mana’ and was adopted as the national anthem on January 24, 1950, with an announcement by the then president Dr Rajendra Prasad.
